Wanderlust Wednesday — Giraffe Manor

Okay, I thought I’d seen it all. Staying in a modernized treehouse in the Swedish forest has to be über relaxing. Waking up in a castle overlooking the natural beauty of South African beaches sounds like a fairytale.  But spending a few days in the Giraffe Manor where  Rothschild Giraffes are vying for your attention – now THAT is cool!  This mystical manor is located in Kenya on 12 acres of private land and within 140 acres of indigenous forest.  Guests have claimed that at breakfast they poke their heads through the windows to be fed, and one even claims she was “kissed” by a giraffe.  What a unique experience!  Imagine waking up with a giraffe poking it’s head through your bedroom window — Think it would lick you right in the face?  Or worse a wet willy?!  My husband gets skeeved out by giraffe tongues, so I would find this quite funny (if only done to him)!  Africa has long been on the top of my list of places to go but now I think I’ll have to extend my stay to include the Giraffe Manor!  What do you think? Would you stay here?
